      Bank of Queensland Limited (BOQ) is one of Australia's leading regional banks, first established in 1874. In 1942, it merged with a number of other financial institutions in Queensland to become a trading bank. In 1982, the Savings Bank of Queensland was incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary, and in 1985, the first regional branches were opened in Cairns and Townsville.
