Inside WeTrade’s Exclusive Houston Rockets VIP Experience in Macao
Abstract:From Rolls-Royce arrivals to an exclusive dinner with Rockets legends, WeTrade brought 200 global guests closer to the world surrounding the Houston Rockets over three days in Macao.
MACAO, October 2026 — For 200 WeTrade VIP clients and partners, NBA China Games 2026 was more than a night of basketball. Across three days in Macao, WeTrade created a premium experience around its partnership with the Houston Rockets, bringing guests closer to the game, the culture and the people behind one of the NBAs most recognised franchises.
The weekend began with Rolls-Royce transfers from the airport to Cotai, where guests checked in at The Londoner Macao and The Parisian Macao. A WeTrade Houston Rockets jersey awaited each guest in their room, setting the tone for the evening ahead as the group prepared to attend the matchup between the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks at The Venetian Arena.
Closer to the NBA Action
Before tip-off, WeTrade guests had the opportunity to step onto the hardwood at The Venetian Arena, experiencing the court from a perspective rarely available to spectators. With Kevin Durant, Alperen Şengün and Amen Thompson among the players taking the floor, the pre-game visit brought guests closer to the team ahead of the evenings action.
Houston went on to defeat Dallas 135–117, with Şengün recording a triple-double of 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Durant‘s presence drew enthusiastic responses from the crowd, while Thompson’s athleticism and Houstons performance added to the atmosphere inside the arena.
For guests, the experience went beyond watching the game from the stands. It offered an opportunity to appreciate the speed, skill and intensity of NBA basketball at close range, making the Rockets return to China a memorable highlight of the visit.
Macao Became an NBA Playground
The following day, WeTrade guests explored another side of basketball through NBA House Macao at Cotai Expo. The experience featured interactive activities and the opportunity to see the Larry OBrien Championship Trophy up close, connecting visitors with the wider culture and history of the NBA.
The weekend also brought together prominent figures from sport and entertainment, reflecting basketball‘s reach beyond the court. Among the globally recognised names associated with the wider programme were Yao Ming, David Beckham, Jackie Chan, Shaquille O’Neal, Jack Ma, Ray Allen and Chris Bosh. Yao Ming held particular significance for Rockets fans, having played a pivotal role in the franchises history and its connection with basketball audiences in China.
An Evening with WeTrade x Rockets
The weekend continued with an exclusive VIP dinner hosted by WeTrade at Studio City. Bringing clients, partners and Introducing Brokers together, the evening provided an opportunity to connect in a more intimate setting and celebrate the partnership between WeTrade and the Houston Rockets.
A WeTrade × Houston Rockets signing ceremony placed the partnership at the centre of the evening, while Rockets alumni Cuttino Mobley and Luis Scola joined guests for the occasion.
Both players have a meaningful place in the franchise‘s history. Mobley spent six seasons with Houston, becoming a familiar presence in the team’s backcourt around the turn of the century. Scola played for the Rockets from 2007 to 2012 and became closely associated with the era that followed Yao Mings arrival. Before joining Houston, Scola had also helped Argentina secure Olympic gold at the 2004 Athens Games.
Their presence gave guests the opportunity to meet two figures from different chapters of Rockets history, take photographs and share conversations beyond the formal setting of a typical sporting event. The dinner brought the weekend‘s central idea into focus: creating opportunities for WeTrade’s community to engage with the people and stories behind the teams they follow.
Turning Partnerships into Lasting Experiences
By Sunday, the three-day programme had brought together live NBA action, interactive basketball experiences, exclusive hospitality and opportunities to connect with Rockets legends. Each element offered a different perspective on the world surrounding the team, creating a shared experience for WeTrades guests from arrival to departure.
For WeTrade, this is the value of a global sports partnership beyond brand visibility. The Houston Rockets relationship provided a platform for clients and partners to experience a major sporting occasion together, strengthening connections and creating memories beyond everyday interactions.
The approach extends across WeTrades wider sports partnerships, including Paris Saint-Germain and Phantom Global Racing. Through these relationships, the company continues to explore ways to bring its global community closer to major sporting platforms through tailored hospitality, exclusive access and meaningful engagement.
As WeTrade looks ahead to further partnership activities and client experiences, the Macao programme reflects its ongoing ambition to turn global partnerships into opportunities, creating experiences that remain with clients and partners long after the final buzzer.
In Trust We Trade.
