CMC Markets Secures LSEG Data Deal to Accelerate Global Expansion
Abstract:London-based financial services provider CMC Markets has entered into a multiyear strategic data agreement with London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).

CMC Markets is strengthening its ambitions in global financial services through a major agreement with London Stock Exchange Group, securing broader access to market intelligence and advanced technology as competition intensifies across the trading industry.
London-based financial services provider CMC Markets has entered into a multiyear strategic data agreement with London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
Announced on 9 October 2026, the partnership will provide CMC Markets with expanded access to LSEG's financial information, market news and analytical capabilities. The agreement comes as financial institutions face mounting pressure to deliver faster trading services, more reliable pricing information and increasingly sophisticated digital investment solutions.
Under the arrangement, CMC Markets will gain broader access to live and delayed market prices, reference information, corporate actions data and financial analytics. These resources are expected to reinforce the technological infrastructure supporting its trading and investment platforms, particularly as the company expands its institutional services and business partnerships.
CMC Markets founder and Chief Executive Officer Lord Peter Cruddas identified access to reliable financial data and technology as an important factor in supporting the company's next stage of expansion.
The agreement will also give CMC Markets access to LSEG content designed for artificial intelligence applications, potentially supporting the development of automated analytical tools and more advanced financial workflows.
However, the announcement does not establish when these capabilities will be introduced to customers or whether they will produce measurable improvements in trading performance.
The partnership represents another development in CMC Markets' evolution from a retail trading provider into a diversified financial services group. Founded in 1989, the company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and operates across several international financial centres, including Singapore, Sydney and Dubai.
Its existing partnerships with financial institutions and technology companies, including Revolut, Westpac and ANZ Bank, further demonstrate its efforts to extend its services through established distribution networks.
Nevertheless, stronger institutional partnerships should not automatically be interpreted as evidence of superior investment outcomes or regulatory protection. Malaysian investors considering overseas trading providers should continue examining their regulatory status, applicable investor safeguards, trading costs and withdrawal arrangements before committing funds.
