AvaTradeGo: AvaTrade's new in-house mobile trading platform
Abstract:AvaTrade launched AvaTradeGo, an in-house mobile trading platform developed with Devexperts as a bespoke frontend for its MT4 terminal. Released three months after work began in March 2017, the app covers forex, CFDs on equities, futures, indices and cryptocurrencies, and introduced features such as market sentiments, trade sharing and price alerts.

AvaTrade, the Dublin-based regulated online trading broker founded in 2006, has launched AvaTradeGo, a new in-house mobile trading platform built as a bespoke frontend for its existing MetaTrader 4 terminal. The app, developed with technology partner Devexperts, spans the full set of over-the-counter asset classes, from forex and CFDs on equities to futures, indices and cryptocurrencies.
The project grew out of a need to stand apart. According to a Devexperts case study published on February 21, 2019, AvaTrade sought to strengthen its competitive position and boost trader engagement by delivering a custom mobile frontend on top of the off-the-shelf MT4 terminal.
A bespoke frontend for MT4
AvaTrade approached Devexperts after finding no out-of-the-box solutions on the market that met its needs. Devexperts used its existing DXmobile platform for iOS and Android as a starting point, developed a trading adapter to integrate with the middleware of other technology providers, and completely redesigned the user interface to AvaTrade's requirements.
The broker, which offers FX and CFDs and is based in Dublin, Ireland, provides personal account managers and live customer service in 15 languages. It is regulated in the EU, Japan, Australia, South Africa, the Middle East and the BVI.
Built in three months
The trading platform was released three months after work began on March 1, 2017. A controlled launch to selected target client groups followed on November 1, 2017, with region-specific versions adapted for China and Japan released at the same time.
New features and asset coverage
AvaTradeGo introduced features including market sentiments and trends, sharing of trades, and price alerts, alongside standard functions such as charting, watchlists, order entry and trade history. The platform covers the full set of OTC asset classes: forex, CFDs on equities, futures, indices and cryptocurrencies.
Designed for all experience levels
According to the case study, the new mobile platform made it easier for AvaTrade to attract customers with very little trading experience, while experienced traders value its usability and round-the-clock access to their trading accounts.
AvaTrade's app lineup
WikiFX lists seven AvaTrade trading apps in total, including four for iOS and three for Android. The flagship AvaTrade Trading App, described as an award-winning app for forex, stocks, indices, commodities and other CFDs, shows 14,221 downloads on WikiFX. The AvaSocial copy trading app, which lets users discover and copy professional traders, lists 6,459 downloads, while the AvaOptions app for forex options trading shows 16 downloads.
