Alpho

General Information & Regulation

Alpho is a brand of Gulf Brokers Ltd. a limited liability company regulated as a Securities Dealer by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority of Seychelles (“FSA”) with license number SD013 to carry out certain categories of financial investment business as permitted under the Seychelles Securities Act 2007. Alpho does not offer its services to the residents of certain jurisdictions such as: Afghanistan, Cuba, Crimea, Israel, Sudan, North Korea, Ethiopia, Iran, Bosna and Herzegovina, Iraq, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Syria, Uganda, Vanuatu and Yemen.

Market Instruments

Alpho offers investors financial instruments including popular currency pairs in the Forex market, indices, stocks, and commodities. Tradable assets available on the Alpho platform are pretty average since some popular instruments like precious metals, ETFs, as well as crypto currencies are missing.

Minimum Deposit

Alpho offers traders two types of trading accounts. The first one is a Forex and CFD account, and the second is an Islamic account, both of which are denominated in USD currency. The minimum deposit to open an account is $100, which seems affordable for most regular traders to get started.

Alpho Leverage

In respect to trading leverage, the maximum trading leverage for Forex instruments is up to 1:500. This is relatively high and clients should be aware that leveraged trading can carry considerable risk to the inexperienced trader.

Spreads & Commissions

Alpho charges spread as a transaction cost for Forex, indices, and commodities transactions. Typical spreads are 3 pips for EURUSD, 4 pips for EURGBP, 20 pips for DE30, 2 pips for US500, 0.1 pips for Brent Crude Oil, 0.025 pips for Natural Gas, and 0.8 pips for the US coffee. The commission on stock trades is 0.5% of the traded volume (minimum $20). Effective April 1, 2019, Alpho will charge a monthly maintenance fee of $10 (or currency equivalent) on its existing and new trading accounts.

Trading Platform

Alpho offers traders the most popular MT5 trading platform on the market today. MT5 includes more advanced graphical and analytical tools, as well as more timeframes, allowing more ways to place pending orders and more technical indicators, and traders have full access to all trades via the web.

Deposit & withdrawal

The official Alpho website does not provide specific information about account funding but only shows the VISA/ MasterCard credit card logo. Therefore, it is likely that Alpho supports at least VISA and MasterCard for deposit and withdrawal.

Trading Hours

Most forex pairs can be traded 24/7 at Alpho. Session times for shares are 11:00 am to 7:30 pm CET for German, Dutch, and Spanish shares; 11:00 am to 7:20 pm CET for Swiss shares; and 5:30 pm to 12:00 am CET for US shares. Hours for commodities and indices vary depending on the instrument and are detailed on the website.
