POTAI Hong Kong Verified: No Physical Presence Found

香港中西区罗便臣道88号
POTAI Hong Kong Verified: No Physical Presence Found

Purpose
The Hong Kong foreign exchange market is a core foreign exchange market in the Asia-Pacific region that developed in the 1970s. As a globally significant offshore financial hub, it features high trading freedom, convenient cross-border capital flows, and a strong concentration of institutions. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operations of forex brokers in this region, an on-site research team conducted a field visit to Hong Kong, China.
Process
This quarter, the on-site inspection team, as planned, visited the foreign exchange broker POTAI in Hong Kong, China. According to publicly available information, its office address is Room A, 17th Floor, MG Tower, 133 Hoi Bun Road, Kowloon.
A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, driven by a sense of responsibility to rigorously vet investors, traveled to Hong Kong, China, according to a well-planned schedule. They conducted a field verification of the trader POTAI, which was claimed to be located at Room A, 17th Floor, MG Tower, 133 Hoi Bun, Kowloon.
The inspection team successfully arrived at MG Tower, which is situated along Hoi Bun Roan in Kowloon. The surrounding area is part of Hong Kong’s core business district in Kwun Tong, with a clean environment and a strong commercial atmosphere.
No company signage or promotional materials related to POTAI were found on the exterior of the building; only the building nameplate for MG Tower was visible.
The inspection team entered the lobby of the building and explained their purpose to the security guard. After completing the standard visitor registration, they were granted access to the building.
Upon reaching the target floor, the 17th floor, the inspection team found that the office space in Room A bore no conspicuous signage indicating POTAI, nor were there any corresponding security measures. Since the corporate branding of this office space did not match POTAI at all, entry into the premises was not possible. Throughout the entire inspection, no reception area for this trader was identified, so it was naturally impossible to photograph the reception desk or its logo. This location does not operate as a shared office space.
From the public corridor on the 17th floor, the inspection team observed that the office space in Room A belonged to another company. The interior design and the operating entity were entirely unrelated to POTAI, and the overall environment did not align with the trader’s stated claim of being based here.
Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it was confirmed that the trader POTAI does not exist at the aforementioned address.
Conclusion
The on-site investigators, as planned, went to Hong Kong, China, to visit the forex broker POTAI. At the address publicly displayed for its business operations, they did not find any information such as the company name of the broker. After inquiring with the building security, they were also told that there was no such company inside the building, indicating that the broker does not have a real business location. Investors are advised to make their choices after comprehensive consideration.
