DangerHong Kong

Purpose

The Hong Kong, China foreign exchange market is a mature offshore foreign exchange market that developed in the 1970s. As one of the world's important financial hubs, it features a sound regulatory system, free cross-border capital flows, and high trading activity, and is a core gathering place for foreign exchange trading in the Asia-Pacific region. To help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of the foreign exchange dealers in this region, the on-site inspection team traveled to Hong Kong, China for an on-site visit.

Process

The on-site inspection team for this period went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to forex broker BBI Trading. According to public information, its office address is FLAT B5 1/F MANNING IND BLDG, 116-118 HOW MING STREET, KWUN TONG, KL, Hong Kong.

A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, with a sense of mission to strictly safeguard investors, traveled to Hong Kong, China, according to a thorough plan. The on-site inspectors successfully arrived at Manning Industrial Building, which is located in the core industrial-commercial mixed area of Kwun Tong. The surrounding streets are lined with multiple old industrial buildings, with frequent pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and the surrounding commercial atmosphere is fair. Outside the building, no company signage or related promotional information bearing the name BBI Trading was found; only a complete panoramic exterior view of the building could be clearly photographed.

The inspectors entered the ground-floor lobby of the building and stated their purpose to the security guard. After a brief communication and registration, they smoothly obtained permission to enter and could move freely around the lobby to inspect. Looking around the floor directory board area in the lobby, they did not find any entry marked with BBI Trading, and there was absolutely no exposure of the broker's logo inside the building.

After arriving at the target floor, the 1st floor, the inspectors walked through the entire floor area and confirmed the specific location of Unit B5. They found that the office area had no obvious signage or dedicated plaque belonging to BBI Trading, nor was the premises a shared office. Because there were completely no relevant company signs on site, and no relevant contact person for the broker could be found, the inspectors could not enter the company's interior and had no opportunity at all to photograph the broker's reception desk or the logo at the reception desk. Throughout the entire process, they could not enter the company to inspect the office environment, and the interior scene was completely closed to the public.

After arrival, it was confirmed to be the publicly listed address, but no information about the broker was found throughout the process. Upon asking, the security guard also said that there was no such company in the building, which completely did not match the broker's claimed positioning of conducting business at this address.

Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it was confirmed that the broker BBI Trading does not exist at the above address.

Conclusion

On-site inspectors went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker BBI Trading. At the publicly displayed business address, they were unable to see the broker's company name or other information, indicating that the broker does not have genuine business premises. Investors are advised to make their choice after comprehensive consideration.
