Purpose

The foreign exchange market in Hong Kong, China, is an internationalized foreign exchange market that developed in the 1970s. As an important global offshore financial hub, it relies on free capital flow policies and an internationally aligned regulatory system, bringing together a large number of domestic and overseas financial trading institutions, with high market trading activity and a prominent share of cross-border business. In order to help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operations of foreign exchange dealers in the region and avoid the investment risks of false business operations, this visit team went to Hong Kong, China, to conduct on-site verification.

Process

In this installment, the visiting team went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker BMEBEX, and according to public information, its office address is Central Plaza, 18 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

A professional and experienced visit team, with a sense of mission to strictly safeguard investors, traveled to Hong Kong, China according to a meticulous plan. They conducted an on-site verification of the broker BMEBEX claiming to be located at Central Plaza, 18 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

The visit team successfully arrived at the Central Plaza building. The location is in the core waterfront business district of Harbour Road, Wan Chai, adjacent to the Victoria Harbour coastline, with a very strong commercial atmosphere. The full view of the building is clearly visible, and outside the building, no company signage or promotional information related to BMEBEX was found at all.

The visit team entered the building lobby. After explaining their purpose to the security guard and completing a simple information registration, they successfully obtained permission to enter the building's public areas.

After arriving at the target floor, the visit team found that the directory signs on the entire floor had no office area marked with BMEBEX, nor any obvious signage or exclusive office area belonging to the company. Since there was no prior appointment and the company's tenancy qualifications could not be verified, the visit team could not enter any office space marked with BMEBEX. Throughout the process, they did not find the broker's reception desk, so naturally could not photograph the reception desk or its LOGO. The premises were also not a shared office type.

After asking the on-site property management staff and security personnel for relevant information, the responses were all that a company named BMEBEX had never moved into the building, there was completely no tenancy registration record for the company, and it was even more impossible to observe the company's internal environment. The overall situation completely did not match the broker's claimed positioning of having a physical office in Hong Kong.

Therefore, after the visit, it was confirmed that the broker BMEBEX does not exist at the above publicly stated address.

Conclusion

The visiting team went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker BMEBEX. At its publicly displayed business address, no company name or other relevant information of the broker could be seen, indicating that the broker does not have a real business premises. Investors are advised to comprehensively consider multiple sources of information, carefully evaluate, and then make a choice.
