DangerHong Kong

Purpose

The Hong Kong, China foreign exchange market is a mature offshore foreign exchange market that developed in the 1970s. As one of the world's important financial hubs, it has the characteristics of a well-established regulatory system, free cross-border capital flows, and a high concentration of institutions, and is a core gathering place for foreign exchange trading in the Asia-Pacific region. To help investors or practitioners more comprehensively understand the foreign exchange dealers in the region, the field inspection team traveled to Hong Kong, China for an on-site visit.

Process

In this edition, the on-site inspection team went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to forex broker AMBER. According to public information, its office address is 25th floor, no. 39, queen's road central, hong kong, central, prosperity tower.

A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, with a sense of mission to strictly safeguard investors, traveled to Hong Kong, China according to a meticulous plan. The on-site inspectors successfully arrived at Prosperity Tower. The location is in the core section of Queen's Road Central, with a very strong surrounding commercial atmosphere; it is a well-known business office building cluster area in Central, Hong Kong. The team also captured a complete panoramic view of the building.

After a full search outside the building, no company signage or related promotional information bearing the words AMBER was found.

The on-site inspectors entered the first-floor lobby of the building and stated their purpose to the security guard. After a brief information registration and communication, they successfully obtained permission to enter the building.

After arriving at the target floor, the 25th floor, the on-site inspectors checked all company signs and directory boards on the floor area by area. They found absolutely no obvious signs related to AMBER's office area, nor any corresponding company security measures.

Because no relevant appointment records for the company were found throughout the process, it was impossible to enter the so-called AMBER company's interior. During this visit, it was impossible to photograph the company's front desk or the front desk LOGO, and the site is not a shared office either.

After repeatedly checking the public areas of the floor, all office areas were not open to the public, so the internal environment of the corresponding company could not be observed. No office traces related to AMBER were found at all. The overall situation is completely inconsistent with the business address information publicly claimed by the broker. After inquiring with and confirming with the building security, there has never been any forex-related company named AMBER operating in the building.

Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it is confirmed that the broker AMBER does not exist at the above address.

Conclusion

The field inspection team went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker AMBER. At the publicly displayed business address, they were unable to see the broker's company name or other information, indicating that the broker does not have a real business premises. Investors are advised to make their choice after comprehensive consideration.
