Purpose

The Hong Kong, China foreign exchange market is a mature offshore forex market that developed in the 1970s. As one of the world's important financial hubs, it brings together a large number of licensed and various types of forex dealers; its market regulatory system is sound and cross-border trading activity is high, making it a core hub for forex trading in the Asia-Pacific region. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operating conditions of forex dealers in the region, we conducted an on-site visit to Hong Kong, China.

Process

This period, the on-site inspection team went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker KERRY. According to public information, its office address is Room A3, 8/F, TML Tower, 3 Hoi Shing Road, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong.

TowerA professional and experienced on-site inspection team, with a sense of mission to strictly safeguard investors, traveled to Hong Kong, China according to a thorough plan. They conducted an on-site verification of the broker KERRY, which claimed to be located at Room A3, 8th Floor, TML Plaza, 3 Hoi Shing Road, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong.

The on-site inspectors successfully arrived at the TML Plaza building. The location is in the core business area of the Tsuen Wan waterfront, with convenient surrounding road networks and multiple commercial buildings and commercial facilities nearby. The overall surrounding environment is clean and the commercial atmosphere is strong. We fully photographed and recorded the panoramic appearance of the building.

After inspecting all areas outside the building back and forth, no signage or promotional information related to broker KERRY was found.

The on-site inspectors entered the first-floor lobby of the building and stated their purpose to the security guard. After a brief communication and registration, they successfully obtained permission to enter the building.

After arriving at the target floor, the 8th floor, the on-site inspectors checked the guides and signs for all office areas on the floor one by one. They found no office area signage for KERRY at all, and the company's relevant information did not appear in the directory board for the entire floor.

Because no appointment information for the corresponding company was found, they could not enter the corresponding office area. Throughout the process, they did not find the broker's reception point, and naturally could not photograph the reception desk or its LOGO. The office spaces on this floor are all independent exclusive office areas, not shared offices.

Through the glass door of Room A3 on the 8th floor, the on-site inspectors found that the operating entity in the space did not belong to KERRY at all, which was completely inconsistent with the business positioning claimed by the broker. They also could not access the internal office environment it claimed at all. The management personnel of the relevant area explicitly stated that unauthorized persons were not allowed to enter for an internal visit.

After arrival, they confirmed it was the address, but found no information about the broker. When asked, the security guard said there was no such company, so it was judged to be false. Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it was confirmed that broker KERRY does not exist at the above address.

Conclusion

Field inspection personnel visited the forex broker KERRY in Hong Kong, China on-site as planned. At the business address publicly listed by the broker, they were unable to see information such as the broker's company name, indicating that the broker does not have genuine business premises. Investors are advised to make their choice after comprehensive consideration.
