Purpose

The UK foreign exchange market is one of the globally important forex markets formed over a long period of development, characterized by a long history, active trading, and strict regulation. It occupies a pivotal position in the international financial field, with many forex brokers conducting business here. In order to help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of forex brokers in this region, the survey team went to the UK for an on-site visit.

Process

The inspection team went to the UK as planned to visit foreign exchange broker Baker Steel in person. According to public information, its office address is 6th Floor 2 Kingdom St. Kingdom Street, Paddington, London, England, W2 6BD.

The professional and experienced on-site verification team, with a sense of mission to strictly screen for investors, followed a well-planned route to the target area in the UK. They conducted a field inspection of the broker Baker Steel, which claims to be located at the above address.

The verification personnel arrived smoothly at the target building, which is located in the Paddington area of London. The surrounding environment is relatively prosperous with a strong commercial atmosphere. However, no company signage or related information of the broker was found outside the building.

The verification personnel entered the lobby of the building and stated their purpose to the security guard. After communication, they obtained permission to enter. The verification personnel found that there was no nameplate or logo of the broker inside the building.

Therefore, the verification personnel were unable to reach the target floor, enter the company's interior and  photograph its reception area or logo. This office is not a shared office.

Through the public areas of the building, the verification personnel could not observe the company's internal environment and found no information about the broker, concluding that it is fraudulent.

Therefore, after the on-site verification, it is confirmed that the broker Baker Steel does not exist at the above address.

Conclusion

The survey team visited the UK as planned to conduct an on-site inspection of the forex broker Baker Steel. At its publicly displayed business address, the broker's company name and other information were not visible, indicating that the broker does not have a real business premises. Investors are advised to make their decisions after comprehensive consideration.
