In order to help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operating conditions of foreign exchange dealers in the region, the field inspection team traveled to Hong Kong, China to conduct an on-site visit.

Process

In this issue, the field inspection team went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker GUOTAI. According to publicly available information, its office address is Room 1506, Tower 1, Harbourfront Plaza, 18 Tak Fung Street, Hung Hom, Kowloon.

A professional and experienced on-site inspection team, with a sense of mission to strictly safeguard investors, traveled to Hong Kong, China, according to meticulous planning. They conducted an on-site verification of the broker GUOTAI, which claims to be located at Room 1506, Tower 1, Harbourfront, 18 Tak Fung Street, Hung Hom, Kowloon.

The team members successfully arrived at Tower 1, Harbourfront. The location is in the core business area along the Hung Hom waterfront, with complete surrounding business facilities and a strong commercial atmosphere. Outside the building, no signage or promotional information related to the broker GUOTAI was found. The building exterior is a standard Grade A commercial building design, and its full exterior is clearly visible.

The team members entered the building lobby and stated their purpose to the security guard. After registering their information and communicating, they obtained permission to enter the building.

After arriving at the target floor, the 15th floor, the team members checked the signage of each office unit on the floor one by one. They found no signage related to GUOTAI's office area, nor any indication that the corresponding Room 1506 belongs to the broker. Because there was no prior appointment and no corresponding company exists at the address, the team members could not enter the corresponding office area. This verification confirmed that the premises is not a shared office, and they were also unable to photograph the corresponding reception desk and the reception desk's logo.

Observing from the external public area of the office area, there were no signs or furnishings related to GUOTAI inside the office unit corresponding to Room 1506, nor any traces of activity by relevant personnel of the company. The overall situation was completely inconsistent with the office address location publicly claimed by the broker. After asking the on-site security guard, the security guard clearly stated that no company named GUOTAI had been registered in the building.

Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it was confirmed that the broker GUOTAI does not exist at the above address.

Conclusion

As planned, field inspectors went to Hong Kong, China, to conduct an on-site visit to the forex broker GUOTAI. At its publicly displayed business address, they could not see the broker's company name or other information, indicating that the broker does not have a real business premises. Investors are advised to make their choice after comprehensive consideration.
