Purpose

The Hong Kong foreign exchange market is an international foreign exchange market that developed after the 1970s. In order to help investors or practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of forex brokers in the region, the survey team went to Hong Kong for an on-site visit.

Process

This time, the field survey team went to Hong Kong, China as planned to visit the forex broker MEXn, according to public information, its office address is RM 1506, 15/F GOLDEN GATE COMM BLDG, 136 - 138 AUSTIN RD, TST, KLN HONG KONG.

A professional and experienced field verification team, with the mission of strictly screening for investors, followed a meticulous plan and traveled to Hong Kong, China. They conducted an on-site inspection of the broker MEXn claiming to be located at RM 1506, 15/F GOLDEN GATE COMM BLDG, 136 - 138 AUSTIN RD, TST, KLN HONG KONG.

The field verification personnel successfully arrived at Golden Gate Commercial Building, located at 136-138 Austin Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The surrounding area is relatively prosperous with a strong business atmosphere. However, no signage or related information of the broker was found on the exterior of the building.

The field verification personnel entered the building lobby and explained their purpose to the security guard. After a brief communication, they obtained permission to enter the building.

Upon reaching the target floor, the 15th floor, the field verification personnel found that the office area of MEXn had no obvious signage or security measures. Although they arrived at the specific location according to the address, because the company does not exist at all, they were unable to enter the interior, nor could they take photos of the reception desk and its logo. This office is not a shared office.

After arriving, it was confirmed that the address was correct, but no information about the broker was found. After asking the security guard, they were told that this company does not exist, and it was judged to be false. Through the public areas of the floor, no internal environment of the so-called company could be observed. The overall situation does not match its claimed positioning of having an office.

Therefore, after the field verification, it is confirmed that the broker MEXn does not exist at the aforementioned address.

Conclusion

Surveyors went to Hong Kong, China as planned to visit forex broker MEXn on-site. At its publicly displayed business address, they did not see the broker's company name or other information, indicating that the broker does not have a real business premises. Investors are advised to consider comprehensively before making a decision.
