I deposited 6.92 USDC on Bitget to try US stocks. I bought a low-priced stock GMM worth $2.96. After selling at a loss of $2.77, all my funds were cleared, and I still owed the platform $0.24. Customer service informed me that when the stock price is below $5 and the transaction volume is less than 1,000 shares, the platform fee is forcibly charged as for 1,000 shares. However, the platform's published fee rate only indicates 0.05% of the transaction amount, without prior explanation of this minimum fee rule. Moreover, the low-priced small transaction example of CGA displayed on the platform only charged a fee of $0.62, which contradicts the nearly $7 high fee I was charged. The platform conceals its fees.
