Purpose

The Hong Kong, China foreign exchange market is a mature offshore foreign exchange market that developed in the 1970s. As one of the world's important financial hubs, it has the characteristics of a well-established regulatory system, free cross-border capital flows, and a high concentration of institutions. It is the core distribution center for foreign exchange trading in the Asia-Pacific region. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual business conditions of foreign exchange dealers in the region, we traveled to Hong Kong, China for an on-site visit.

Process

As planned, this visit went to Hong Kong, China for an on-site visit of the forex broker Enlighten, whose office address, according to public information, is 6/F Jubilee Centre, 18 Fenwick Street, 46 Gloucseter Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong.

A professional and experienced inspection team, with a sense of mission to strictly safeguard investors, and in accordance with careful planning, traveled to Hong Kong, China. They conducted an on-site verification of the broker Enlighten, which claims to be located at 6/F Jubilee Centre, 18 Fenwick Street, 46 Gloucseter Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong.

The inspection personnel successfully arrived at the Jubilee Centre building, which is located within Wan Chai's core business district, with dense commercial buildings in the surrounding area. There were no signs related to the broker in the street environment, and the full panoramic view of the building could be photographed throughout.

No company signage or promotional information related to Enlighten was found outside the building.

The inspection personnel entered the ground-floor lobby of the building, explained their purpose to the security guard, and after a brief communication and registration, successfully obtained entry permission and were able to freely access the building's public areas.

After arriving at the target floor, the 6th floor, the inspection personnel checked all office areas on the floor one by one and found no signage for Enlighten's office area at all. The building also had no directory board for the company, and there was no display related to the broker's LOGO inside or outside the building.

Because the corresponding company's office entrance could not be found at all, it was impossible to enter the broker's internal office area throughout, and there was no opportunity at all to photograph the corresponding company's reception desk or the reception desk's LOGO. The premises were also not a shared office.

After asking the building security guard for relevant information, the security guard clearly stated that there had never been a company named Enlighten in the building. No information about the broker was found throughout, and the company's internal office environment could not be viewed at all because entry was impossible.

Therefore, after the on-site visit, it was confirmed that the broker Enlighten does not exist at the above publicly stated address.

Conclusion

The visiting personnel went to Hong Kong, China as planned to conduct an on-site visit to forex broker Enlighten. At the business address it publicly displays, no company name or any other related information of the broker was seen at all, indicating that the broker does not have a real business premises. Investors are advised to make their choice after comprehensive consideration.
