Purpose

The UAE forex market is a regional core forex trading market developed over the past two decades. Leveraging the policy dividends and locational advantages of the Dubai International Financial Centre, it brings together financial trading service providers from around the world, making it the core trading hub with the highest level of forex activity and the strongest internationalization in the Middle East. To help investors gain a more comprehensive understanding of the actual operating conditions of forex brokers in the region, we traveled to Dubai, UAE for an on-site visit.

Process

This visit was planned to travel to the UAE for an on-site inspection of forex broker GTN. According to public information, its office address is Unit 303, Level 3, Liberty House, Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai 507133, United Arab Emirates.

A professional and experienced inspection team, with the mission of strictly safeguarding investors, followed a meticulous plan to travel to Dubai, UAE, to conduct an on-site verification of the broker GTN claimed to be located at this address.

The inspectors successfully arrived at the target building, which is located in the core area of downtown Dubai. It is a well-known ultra-luxury office building in the area, surrounded by high-end business facilities and a strong commercial atmosphere.

No relevant display information bearing the GTN logo was found outside the building.

The inspectors entered the building lobby, stated their purpose to the security personnel on site, and after registering their visit information, were granted permission to enter the lobby area. The building did not have a complete company directory guide. The on-site security management was very strict, and they were clearly told that people without prior appointments were not allowed to go to office floors at will, nor were they allowed to take photos of the interior scenes, and it was impossible to access public information about the tenant companies online.

The inspectors were unable to reach the target 3rd floor, let alone find the corresponding office area marked as Unit 303. Throughout the process, no obvious signage or related displays of GTN's office area were found. Because no prior appointment with the company was made, they could not enter the office area. They were unable to photograph the front desk or its LOGO, and the venue is not a shared office.

Due to the inability to obtain further access permissions, the inspectors could not observe the internal environment of the company, nor could they obtain more operational information about the company. It was completely impossible to confirm whether the company actually operates at this location.

Therefore, after the inspection, it was confirmed that the broker GTN does not exist at the publicly stated address above.

Conclusion

As planned, the visiting personnel traveled to the UAE for an on-site visit to the forex dealer GTN. However, at its publicly displayed business address, the dealer's company name and other relevant information were not found, indicating that the dealer does not have a genuine business presence. Investors are advised to make their decision after comprehensive consideration.
