A Visit to TradeVolt in Bahamas -- Finding No Office
Danger Bahamas

Reason for this visit

The Bahamas is one of the wealthiest countries in the Caribbean, with a GDP per capita that is second only to the United States and Canada among the 156 countries in the Western Hemisphere. Once a British colony, the Bahamas' stable parliamentary democracy is based on British law. The country does not have much bad press in the foreign exchange market, which makes it fundamentally different from other notorious tax avoidance countries. In addition, the Bahamas' government adheres to the global anti-money laundering guidelines and uniform reporting standards set by the OECD, so companies in the country are also recognized by U.S., U.K. and European financial institutions. In order to help investors or practitioners get a more comprehensive understanding of foreign exchange dealers in Bahamas, the survey team is going to the country for field visits.

On-site visit

This time the survey team visited the dealer TradeVolt in Bahamas, with the specific address at 208 Church Street, Sandyport, Nassau, Bahamas.

Based on the above address, the survey team arrived at the destination of this survey, Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, which is located in the North Atlantic Ocean near the United States. It was a small street with no more than 10 buildings combined, and there were no clear street number signs. On one side of the street were churches and government buildings; while on the other side was a cemetery.

Because there were not many buildings here, the surveyors looked up all the houses on the street. However, they did not find No. 208 or any building with the name TradeVolt. In the end, the surveyors confirmed that the dealer did not have an office in the area.

Conclusion

The survey team went to Bahamas, to visit the dealer TradeVolt and found no office at its business address. It was supposed that the dealer might just use that address to register its company, or there was no offline exhibition place. Please be prudent when trading with this broker.
