Purpose

The UAE foreign exchange market is a regional core forex trading market that has gradually developed over the past two decades. Leveraging Dubai's advantageous location as an international financial port, it has gathered a large number of licensed forex brokers from around the world and serves as a key hub for forex business in the Middle East and North Africa region. To help investors and practitioners gain a more comprehensive understanding of forex brokers in the region, the site inspection team traveled to the UAE for an on-the-ground visit.

Process

In this session, the field inspection team traveled to the UAE as planned to conduct an on-site visit to forex broker GTC MTD. According to public information, its office address is 1501, 1 Lake Plaza, Plot No: JLT-PH2-T2A, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The professional and experienced on-site inspection team, with a sense of mission to strictly safeguard investors, traveled to the United Arab Emirates according to a carefully planned schedule to conduct an on-site verification of the broker GTC MTD, which claims to be located at 1501, 1 Lake Plaza, Plot No: JLT-PH2-T2A, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

We successfully arrived at the Lake Plaza building, which is located within a cluster of luxury office buildings in the core commercial area of Dubai, right next to a metro station. The surrounding transportation is very convenient, and the overall business atmosphere is very strong.

No company signage or related information associated with GTC MTD was found outside the building; only a full panoramic view of the building was captured.

We entered the building lobby and explained our purpose to the security personnel. After registering the information and communicating, we were permitted to enter the lobby. However, after a careful search of the lobby area, we found that there was no complete company directory board in the building, and no relevant directory information marked with GTC MTD could be found at all,

The building's security management is very strict. Without an appointment approved by the corresponding company, we could not take the elevator to the 15th floor, the target floor, to confirm the specific location. Throughout the entire process, no logo sign belonging to GTC MTD was found inside or outside the building.

Since we could not reach the target floor, we naturally could not find the office area of GTC MTD. Throughout the process, no office location bearing the company's logo was found. It was completely impossible to enter the company's interior, nor was there any shared office arrangement. Naturally, we could not photograph the reception area or the reception desk logo.

Due to security restrictions, we had no access to the company's internal space throughout the entire process, could not observe the company's internal environment, and were completely not allowed to enter any relevant internal areas.

Therefore, after the on-site inspection, it was confirmed that the broker GTC MTD does not exist at the publicly marked address above.

Conclusion

The inspectors went to the UAE as planned for an on-site visit to forex broker GTC MTD, and at its publicly displayed business address, they could not see the company name or other information of the broker, indicating that the broker does not have a real place of business. Investors are advised to make their decisions after comprehensive consideration.
