After Bitget opened US stock trading, I wanted to experience the US stock trading process and deposited 6.92 USDC. As a result, in one trade, I bought a total of $2.96 worth of stock with the code Gmm, and sold it at a loss of 2.77, only to find that my available funds were gone! After contacting official customer service, they explained that the trading target price is below $5, the number of shares traded is less than 1,000, and the platform fee is charged based on 1,000 shares! This caused all my deposited funds to be deducted, and I even owed the platform $0.24! After my inquiry, the officially published US stock trading fee rates only showed a platform fee of 0.05% * transaction amount, without the customer service's claim that if less than 1,000 shares, the fee is charged based on 1,000 shares! Moreover, in a trading example displayed on the platform, a trade with stock code CGA, where the price was below $5 and the number of shares traded was also less than 1,000, the platform fee charged was only $0.62! But I traded stocks with a total value of no more than $6, yet I was charged a fee of $7!
