I deposited funds into the GMI platform on March 5, 2025, and shorted 100gbp the same day. Before trading on March 5, I repeatedly asked the account manager whether there would be a dividend charge for this product. The manager, after consulting with risk control, assured me there wouldn't be. However, after I closed my profitable short positions the next day and submitted a withdrawal, the platform reneged and said they were going to deduct my dividend. This is a clear trap for investors! They tell you there's no dividend initially, but after they see you've made a profit, they backpedal and confabulate about some violation. What violation? Because I made a profitable trade? So, GMI platform is designed so investors can't profit, they must lose? Without any justification or explanation, they concocted a violation just to deduct dividends and wipe out most of my earnings. A total tyranny! Before trading, I confirmed multiple times with the platform’s sales representative and risk control they had no dividends this week. So there should be no reasons for them to deduct dividends from my profits. If I longed, instead of shorting the 100 GBP, would you add the dividend into my account? Later, I found that GMI's dividend rate was roughly 10% higher than other mainstream platforms. This leads me to suspect that my transaction was not executed in the open market ("A-Book") but kept in-house ("B-Book"), which would mean there's no reason for a dividend. The platform said the cost was due to throwing the order to the liquidity provider. When I ask for the records, they said they couldn't provide it. Isn't this pure deception? I chose to trade with GMI thinking it’s a reputable broker, but it turns out all crows under heaven are black. Stay away from such a black platform and stop trading with them! GMI, if you can't play fair, please withdraw from the Chinese market! Stop deceiving Chinese investors!
