On April 4, 2025, a Friday, around 10 p.m. Beijing time, I held positions in silver and crude oil with an account balance of $2,700. With huge market fluctuations, I feared a forced liquidation might happen as my account was at risk. So, I attempted to deposit an additional $7,000 to $8,000. I tried all deposit methods provided by GMI, including digital currency channels (which had no takers) and the UnionPay channel (which did not display a payee), but all attempts were unsuccessful. My account was liquidated, and right after that, the market surged. Had there been one successful deposit, the liquidation wouldn't have happened. Ironically, everything went back to normal after the liquidation, and I was able to deposit funds. On the morning of April 7, 2025, a Monday, I held positions in gold and silver in my account, primarily in silver. Though my positions were not heavy, I still suffered a forced liquidation when the silver price hit $27.94 on GMI, while the lowest price on the trading platform was $27.95. I found this suspicious, so I immediately checked the quotations of other major platform companies, including several professional financial companies domestically. Their prices were all $28.2. Funnily enough, the price for silver quoted on other GMI accounts was also $28.2. My account was specifically targeted for the liquidation, which was clear as day, with irrefutable evidence. I contacted GMI about this, but no resolution was reached after several days. I have been trading with GMI for many years, losing tens of thousands of dollars - previously, I chalked it up to my own mistakes. However, after these back-to-back incidents, I've come to realize that this platform is not as reputable as it seems.
