Inspection Reason

Some investors made phone call for more disclosure of Japan licensed brokers whose real address were not the same with its regulation address. In response to investors’ strong need, the surveyor went to Simplex Asset to learn more about its interior.

Office

According to the regulation information, the Japanese licensed broker was located at 1-8-1, Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The surveyor visited the broker.

The surveyor found a quite modern office building in a railway station according to the regulation information.

The blue high-rise in front of which stood a sculpture was the surveyor’s destination.

The surveyor found a building name signage at a corner of the building. Then the surveyor entered the building and failed to find the broker’s name on the floor directory at the 1st floor. In order to ensure the accuracy of the inspection result, the surveyor inquired sereval employees of the building. They said they knew nothing about the broker.

Conclusion

The visit by surveyors confirmed that the broker’s real address was not the same with its regulation address. The broker’s suspicion of being a clone broker couldn’t be excluded though it held a retail forex license issued by FSA.
