114 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, South Australia, Australia
Survey Reason
Recently many investors called the inspection team hoping we could disclose more Australian brokers with fake addresses. To help investors better distinguish these brokers, the investigation team were going to visit EasyForex in this episode.
Building Survey
According to the regulatory information, the company address of EasyForex is Suite 703, 65 York Street Sydney NSW 2000. The investigation staff visited the spot.
Since the address sign was explicit, the investigation staff smoothly found the archaic office building indicated by the regulatory information.
Exclusive
The investigation staff could not wait to enter the office building. Instead of the broker, the staff found Easy Markets operating at the floor listed on the regulatory information from the floor guide in the lobby. To ensure the authenticity of the investigation, the staff took the elevator to the 7th floor and still found Easy Markets on the sign board rather than EasyForex.
As a rule of thumb, no listing on the sign does not always connote the broker is nonexistent, thus the investigation staff ambled around the corridor. Finally the staff found the office of Easy Markets instead of EasyForex’s, which is quite disappointing.
Survey Conclusion
It is ascertained by the investigation staff that the address of EasyForex is inconsistent with that from the regulatory information. Since the broker’s alleged ASIC MM License(No.246566) is suspected to be a cloned license.
