Reason for this visit

Russia-Ukraine conflict continues to worsen, while Russia keeps a “close” relationship with Belarus. At present, plenty of forex investors are deeply concerned about the current situation of forex brokers in Belarus for the upgrading of the war is likely to have an adverse effect on Belarus. In order to help investors or practitioners have a more comprehensive understanding of foreign exchange brokers in Belarus, the survey team is going to pay on-site visits locally.

On-site visit

The investigation team paid a visit to foreign exchange broker Alpari in Minsk, capital and the largest city of Belarus as scheduled. The broker claims that they have a physical office at office 39, 36/1, Pobediteley Ave. 7a, Minsk, 220004.

The field survey personnel came to the destination on February 1, 2023. From a distance, the high-rise mansion featuring a design of full-glass facade stands out evidently among a cluster of buildings and shopping malls nearby.

The investigation team came to the mansion and spotted forex broker Alpari listed in a company directory. 

The field survey personnel arrived at office 39, and found the logo of the broker Alpari on the door. But there was no staff working in the office with the door locked. 

After communicating with the security guard of the building, the personnel were told that the broker had moved out of here a few months ago. Now there is no company at office 39. Therefore, it is confirmed that the broker doesn’t have a physical office here.

Conclusion

The investigators went to Minsk, capital of Belarus to visit the foreign exchange broker Alpari as planned, and found the broker according to the regulatory address that it displayed. However, the company has moved away from here. Therefore, the broker’s forex regulatory information is not true. Investors are advised to stay alert to the broker.
